INSURANCETHE CONSORTIUM COORDINATOR INSURES ALL THE STUDENTS according to the minimum requirements set up by the european unionThe Consortium Coordinator insures all the selected students the day of their registration to guarantee that the cover will be effective by the time the students start their journey to participate in the Programme.
The selected insurance scheme covers the students in Europe and in third countries. The cover includes all worldwide travel required for the participation in the EDAMUS programme following the EACEA “Minimum requirements for the health and accident insurance coverage”.
The current insurance offer selected by the coordinator is managed by MEP.
The cost of this insurance (about 600 € per year) is included in the participation costs / training fees.POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL LOCAL INSURANCESIt may happen that national laws in some countries require the students to subscribe an additional local insurance.
The student has to afford the cost of this insurance himself/herself.LOCAL INSURANCE OBLIGATIONS IN FRANCEIt is mandatory for students to register in the French Social Security Scheme If you are under 28 years old => you have to subscribe the MEP or the LMDE insurance. Students from the European Economic Area and Switzerland do not need to enrol in the French student social security system but they must apply for the European Social Security Card in their home country prior to departure. If you are over 28 years old => you have to register at the CPAM.
